In 1785, Lucy Prince, North America’s first African American poet walks 80 miles through the Vermont wilderness to petition the governor for justice from abuse suffered at the hands of her racist neighbors.

This is a conceived as a stand alone feature film or the first episode in A Peculiar Freedom.
